Hidey ho neighbors! So I finally completed the Advocare 10 day challenge and I feel like a new woman! It helped with my energy and my cravings. Before I felt like I was hungry all the time and had cravings out of control but this helped me get my body back to the basics and only eat what I need. Cravings come from slack of nutrients but with the cleanse your body is only eating natural unprocessed food and getting all the vitamins you need. So..drumroll please..here’s the before and after.
I honestly didn’t know if I could see a difference I just felt a difference but it’s crazy what can happen In only ten days! Down three pounds and a lot less bloated. Now, I will be honest this cleanse was poorly timed because it’s finals week and also (TMI here) it was the wrong time of the month for this. However, I still got awesome results and can’t wait to see what happens the next time I do it!! Obviously this stuff is not a scam and legit works. If you need to loose weight or just reset your body to begin a healthier way of living please check out my website!
I would love to help you! And also, hope you all had a good Easter!
Yeah remember when I said I was going to start posting more often? Yeah…that was laughable! I wish I had something to blame but I take the blame! I have been totally slacking in the healthy eating department and my body shows it! As frustrating as it is I know I can fix it. It isn’t a diet it’s a lifestyle so all I have to do is pick myself back up and march on!
Also, on to the good news portion! I am now an Advocare distributor! I knew I needed help getting back on the healthy train and I knew just where to turn! If you are interested in learning about the products or buying them please check out my website!!

Ok so I feel like I’ve fallen off the face of the planet. I will try and keep this post as short and sweet as possible but I have a lot to discuss! First off, I found out I got accepted into Graduate School! I will be starting off my Masters degree in History this spring. I am so excited and I can not wait! Also, I have been working training at my new job and I start working all on my own next week. All of this is kind of nerve wracking but I am ready for change and challenges! Of course, all this has taken up a lot of time as well and as I have still struggled to eat healthy and work out as much as possible it has kind of fallen at my waist side in terms of importance and I can tell I have gained weight and I don’t feel quite up to par. I, however, am not going to give up!
This quote says it all. Sometimes you may have struggles and you may take a few steps back but you can either choose to give up or continue to strive for progress. I for one can not and will not let myself fall back into being lazy and unhealthy so I will keep trying as much as I can! I am limited to what I can do as far as cardio because I pushed myself to much to soon but I know I can strength train and build up my metabolism and eat healthy as much as I can. I need to get cravings in check and I will keep trying and I hope this inspires some of you out there!
I will end with a little Halloween picture from this past weekend!
Minnie Mouse and Bob Ross
I hope all of you have a safe and fun Halloween!
Well hey strangers,
So I forgot what this whole blog wiring thing is like because I have been crazy busy! So since last time I wrote I finally took the GRE, moved to a whole new state and am working out at a new(ish) gym.
So Wow there’s a lot to even cover. I now live in the sunshine state and it has been amazing so far! Still in the unpacking/organizing stage but there’s so much to do here it is not my main priority right now! Also, this is my first week at my new job training so I have a ton going on.
No worries I still am making time to work out though! Conveniently enough my gym back home is a chain and there is one 5 minutes away from my new home. It is very different than my old gym. I used to work out in the women’s weight room at my old gym and my new gym doesn’t have one but I think working out in the open will help me and force me to use more equipment and venture out.
I think this whole experience is positive and you can’t grow unless you change!
Speaking of growing I am excited I have been eating more and I have been making gains in my weight lifting! Check it:
The past two weeks I have been able to lift more and I decided to take pics to document it. It’s exciting! I like seeing that I am making progress and hope I will start seeing benefits from it.
Anyways, I just have time for a quick update but I hope that I can get back to writing! Hope you didn’t miss me too much ; )
Well well, even though I didn’t think I would have time to post again this week I manages! Even though in reality it’s because I am the Queen of procrastinating and it’s what I do best so here I am just killing time I should be spending studying. whoops.
Anyways, I actually remembered to take a picture of pretty much everything I ate! Go me! Before I show the pics let me tell you about this diet I’m on this week..it’s called I have 5 bucks til pay day. Haha postgrad life at its best.
The items I had in order counter clockwise:
1) a chocolate chip quest bar ( which of course I inhaled post work out and forgot to snap a picture of) I was still hungry after that so I ate a piece of ostrich jerky I got this past weekend too!
2) Granny Smith apple and an ounce of roasted planters nuts
3) I threw a bunch of veggies and salsa and shredded chicken together and ate it with some black bean chips..pretty yum if I say so myself!
4) dessert-the best part of the day which was 6 oz chobani plain yogurt with 1/4 cup Nature valley protein granola, 2 tbsp. cinnamon peanut butter, 1 tbsp no sugar added strawberry jelly and half a chocolate brownie quest bar. So filling but I wanted more!
Oh yeah and all this fit my macros perfectly. Whoop whoop.
As far as exercise today was an active rest day and I just ran for 5k at an easy pace. Just glad I can run again pain free!
Oh yeah, and here’s a picture I took as I was cooking my dinner that I found hilarious.
You had ONE job bro. Zucchini is not yellow squash in case you hadn’t noticed. Epic fail.
Ok, now off to study.
maybe for sure possibly
Hey guys! Hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend. I myself had a blast hanging out at my
hopefully soon to be future home! The weather down here has been nothing short of rainy and gloomy all summer but this weekend Mother Nature got it together.
I think I will get used to that view just fine. : )
I am getting nervous because my test is coming up soon for graduate school and I hope i do well! Prayers and good vibes sent my way are much appreciated.
On the side of fitness I am still a little bummed out. I have been busy but I’m still trying to get in as much as I can without over doing it. When I first started this blog I was kind of stressing out if I didn’t work out enough or “eat clean” and I would feel guilty if I verged from the healthy path but lately I’ve been reading and seeing great results from following my macronutrients and making sure I hit them every day. I don’t want to explain it all myself so you can find the information here at IIFYM and there are some great informative videos on you tube by Layne Norton or just type in macronutrients. It allows me to really eat more of “bad” foods as long as I get my healthy proteins and fats in for the day. Also, as far as working out switching up my diet has actually helped me get stronger in the gym! I feel like I have more energy and am lifting heavier. I am also just trying to workout just to stay healthy and not to hit a certain number on the scale. Just work out for me. Now this blog is getting a little long so I won’t continue to bore you!
Hey you guys! I need some assistance any and all help would be appreciated. In case you noticed the title you may be wondering what’s up well you see I live in Alabama and during the summer the weather has two choices a) sweltering heat or b) monsoon and it makes running outside impossible so I have been going to the gym extra early to try and get my runs in on the dreaded treadmill. I really despise the treadmill because your staring at the same thing…going at the same exact pace…it’s just not for me, to say the least. Nevertheless, I have been forcing myself to embrace it but it is not loving me back. My left shin has been starting to hurt instantly when I start running on it! I have read that adding an incline may help but so far it is still feeling the same and I can’t run! I don’t know what to do with myself. If someone has any tips that would be fannnnntastic.
As far as my workout today I did my cardio on the elliptical since it’s easy on my knees and shin. I did that for 45 minutes and finished with shoulder and ab work.
Not too shabby! But I do miss my running. : (
